Today is March 1, developer Gil Dezer’s birthday and “Gil Dezer Day” in the city of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. The mayor of Sunny Isles Beach awarded Mr. Dezer with his day as a token of appreciation for his contribution to the beachfront skyline that we all enjoy.
To honor his birthday this year, we are going to highlight some of the contributions he has made to the Sunny Isles skyline and to the Miami ultra-luxury real estate market as a whole.
Dezer’s Visionary Contributions
Many are familiar with Dezer’s boisterous attitude and unapologetic wealth, but in getting to know him you begin to understand that this does not come from an untamed ego. Rather, his personality comes from a place of pride and excitement. Dezer lives every day to the fullest, he embraces his passions and brings them to life in a way that others can enjoy.
Two of Gil’s biggest passions are luxury cars and luxury properties, so it comes as no surprise that he has married the two and evolved the ultra luxury real estate game while he was at it.
Possibly the most notable contribution he has made in recent years has been his patented Dezervator. This is an elevator for your car, but it is also more than that.
The Dezervator is a showcase for your car collection. With its glass enclosure and hydraulic lift, it offers the unique experience of riding in your car as it lifts to your floor, experiencing the view of the communal areas of the building, of your neighbors’ car collections and ultimately delivers you to your personal garage at your doorstep in the sky. Using cutting-edge technology, the Dezervator is climate-controlled and complete with wifi signal, so that you do not drop a call in your travels.
An added bonus of the Dezervator is the heightened level of privacy. What started as a sexy addition to a luxury auto-themed tower became a security feature as well. Many celebrities rely upon strict security guidelines and with the Dezervator, they can leave in privacy and return without the help of valet or front desk service.

Luxury Branded Towers
Dezer was the first Miami developer to sell real estate as a lifestyle. In order to communicate this perceived lifestyle prior to the tower being built, he brought in established brands that embody the lifestyle that was planned for the development.
The first branded tower was Porsche Design Tower, which was completed in 2016. What began as simply paying homage to Gil’s love of cars and bringing a unique luxury condo product to the Sunny Isles Beach skyline turned into a full-on game changer.
When Dezer initially announced Porsche Design Tower, many naysayers said he was crazy. He is, but in a good way and the tower was such a success that The Residences by Armani/Casa Sunny Isles followed in 2019.
These towers ushered in a new day of brand partnerships in luxury residential buildings. From his extensive worldwide travels, Dezer has seen practically every luxury feature imaginable and continues to implement these features in his Sunny Isles Beach and Miami towers. He was the first to offer private swimming pools on the terrace of every residence. The first to offer a private Michelin-Starred restaurant for his residents, and the first to patent an elevator for luxury vehicles.
This unprecedented level of luxury was evident during the 2020 COVID pandemic, when residents of Porsche Design Tower were the least affected by the lockdown as sheltering in place was already a way of life. They had everything at their fingertips on site.
A drone video seen here captures an 8-string concierto with complimentary champagne and caviar for the residents of Porsche Tower during the lockdown.
While Porsche Design Tower was under construction, Volkswagen purchased the brand and added it to a stable of other luxury vehicle brands. Both parties were so impressed with the resounding success of Porsche Design Tower, they sold the real estate branding rights to Dezer for all of their luxury cars. This alluded to a future Lamborghini Tower, Bugatti Tower or Ducati Tower and paved the way for Bentley Residences, which is now under construction on Sunny Isles Beach.
Bentley Residences
As the sister building to Porsche Design Tower, owners at Bentley will experience a similar lifestyle that is elevated even a step further. The 62-story tower is home to 216 residences that each have a 1,500 square foot sky garage with room for three or four vehicles.
The residences each have private elevator lobbies for guests with panoramic views of Miami Beach, the Atlantic Ocean beachfront and the Intracoastal Waterway. Inside the homes, owners will find layouts with terraces as large as the sprawling floor plans.
As the wind becomes strong on the higher floors, Florida Rooms are incorporated to break the wind. These are indoor/outdoor rooms that offer alfresco living but with a wall of glass to block the wind. In these Florida Rooms there are in-ground private swimming pools and outdoor kitchens for year-round entertainment.
Condos start at $5.65 million, and come with amenities such as heated floors, home saunas, outdoor showers and those balcony pools.
We hope that Gil Dezer has a very happy birthday and wish him much success over the next year.
