With the issue of the ancient Tequesta Indian artifacts that were discovered on the build site freshly behind them, Related Group is moving forward on construction of the 75-floor Baccarat Residences near the Miami River in the Brickell Financial District.
As it was previously reported, when the pre-existing waterfront building on the build site was demolished, ancient artifacts from the indigenous people who resided in Miami before it was a bustling metropolis were discovered. After a months of excavating the property, a decision was finally made to allow construction of the tower commence as it is not a historical property. It was determined that the Brickell-facing portion of the project at 444 Brickell Avenue could possibly be deemed a historic property and turned into some sort of display to honor those who came before us.
There are currently two towers under construction on the site. The site work for Baccarat is taking place at 77 Southeast Fifth Street, and the neighboring rental building, called The One, is in vertical construction. When completed, it will feature 44-stories and 506 apartments.

After the millions spent by Related Group to excavate the property and costly delays, it is a relief to have forward-motion on the super luxury building once more.
When completed, Baccarat will be the pinnacle of luxury in the Brickell district. The building will offer 360 luxury residences with 324 Tower Residences, 8 Penthouses, and 28 River Flats/Duplexes that overlook the new riverwalk and the Miami River.
