Over the last few weeks, Villa Miami’s construction team in Edgewater has made some major headway. They have received their site work permit for the tower at 710 Northeast 29th Street in Edgewater.
During this time, the developers have released an impressive new floorplan for a 6-bedroom duplex with nearly 12,000 square feet of interior living space. Let’s get into it!
The Progress of Villa Miami
In August, a site work permit was issued for Villa Miami that allows for the necessary excavation, piles, site improvement and soil improvement. As we previously reported on our sister site, Moss Construction has been selected as the contractor for the development. They have an impressive resume in the Miami construction market, we were very pleased to learn of their addition to the plan.
The next steps will be a seawall permit and the master construction permit, both of which are in progress according to Florida Yimby.

The Villa Doppio Duplex
Terra Group and Major Food Group are really standing out with every aspect of Villa Miami’s design. Each level has nearly 6,000 square feet, adding up to 11,900 total square feet of interior living space. There are also four private terraces that enjoy sunrise and sunset views totaling 1,200 square feet. There are 6 total bedrooms and 6 bathrooms with 2 powder rooms, a formal living room in addition to the family room, recreation room and an office.
Level 1 Notes
I first took note of the two private elevators as well as the service elevator. This speaks to the level of privacy expected at Villa Miami.
Moving further into the residence, I notice that not only is there a large entertaining kitchen (designed by none other than Mario Carbone), but also a separate prep kitchen so that staff can do all the chopping and preparing and cleaning up while the family entertains.
On the East side, facing the Biscayne Bay, you have the formal entertaining areas. This will give you the primary kitchen, formal dining, formal living and a terrace.
On the West side, facing the Miami skyline, you have a less formal family room and two guest bedrooms, each ensuite with walk-in closets. The staff suite is also on the first level with an ensuite bath.

Level 2 Notes
Upstairs is where we typically see the more intimate living quarters for the owner. In this design, I must take pause and point at the altelier-style dressing rooms that are of impressive size and finish.
Other notes in the primary suite are the his and hers spa, the private terrace, and the entrance to the office being both through the primary suite and through the upper foyer.
On the city view side is the recreation room, two more guest bedrooms with walk-in closets and ensuite baths. The west side of the upper residence also has a private terrace for the game room and guests.
Finally, I made note of the presence of laundry on each floor. Throughout the residence, owners will find 10-foot floor-to-ceiling windows that envelope the home, making inspiring views for everyone who visits.

About Villa Miami Edgewater
This upcoming 56-story tower will rise to 650-feet over a unique inlet of the Biscayne Bay that will offer water views for all rooms. It was designed by ODP Architecture and Design with a unique copper-colored exoskeleton that not only supports the building without the use of interior loading walls, but also offers a the project a striking personality in the skyline.

When completed, owners of the 72 residences will experience a host of unique and elevated amenities designed exclusively for those with elevated culinary desires.
There will be a Major Domo estate manager service, a rooftop helipad, poolside service, a spa and wellness facility as well as a branded beach club. Major Food Group will have a signature restaurant in the tower with exclusive lounge spaces and in-home chef services for residents.
Each of the 72 homes encompasses either a half or full floor of the building, with the exception of the penthouses and custom-designed combined units.
Prices for Villa Miami begin at $4.5 million up to $30 million.
