Now that the existing office building has been demolished at 1444 Biscayne Boulevard in the Miami Art District, two tower crane permits have been submitted to begin bringing Casa Bella by B&B Italia out of the ground. The permits were submitted on August 23, according to The Next Miami.
In the permits, it is specified that one crane will reach a height of 674 feet above sea level and the will reach 714 feet above sea level. When completed, Casa Bella will reach 731 feet into the skyline. Work should take just under two years.
About Casa Bella
With 312 total residences distributed among 57 floors, Casa Bella by B&B Italia was designed by Arquitectonica and is being developed in a partnership between Related Group and ALTA Developers. All of the companies are based locally and famous for their contributions to the Miami skyline.
The project is located at 1444 Biscayne Boulevard, directly adjacent to Genting’s waterfront mega-site that is under consideration now for over $1 billion. Also within walking distance is the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing arts, the Miami Ballet and the Ziff Opera House. Just on the other side of the Miami Signature Bridge (that will be completed around the same time as Casa Bella), you will find the Phillip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science and the Perez Art Museum… hence the name “Miami Arts and Entertainment District”.
The Residences
Buyers can choose between residences that are 1-bedroom from 711 interior square feet, up to a 2,187 square foot residence with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths. They are all accessible by two private elevators secured by biometrics.
The layouts enjoy at least 10-foot ceilings (penthouses have 12-foot ceilings), a beautiful glass terrace overlooking the city and Biscayne Bay and floor-to-ceiling windows with impact glass. On the higher floors, you can see all the way over Miami Beach to the Atlantic Ocean.
Inside, the units are trimmed out with the touch of Lissoni and Partners. Kitchens are dressed with marble waterfall counters, Italkraft cabinetry in a selection of colors and a premium Sub-Zero appliance package.
The primary suites are also specifically designed by Lissoni with ensuite baths that have Italkraft cabinetry, frameless showers, backlit mirrors and soaking tubs. The dressing rooms offer ample space for organization and extensive wardrobes.
While the sales have been swift and strong, there are still some purchase opportunities in Casa Bella, with prices averaging $1,000 per foot. Condos with one bedroom plus den start at $940,000, two bedrooms from $1.2 million, three bedrooms for $1.8 million and four bedroom plans start at $2.4 million.
