Founded in 1935, Surfside is a beautiful pedestrian-friendly beach town that offers a small-town feel, pristine beaches and a charming 2-block-long business district. Surfside is a small community of nearly 6,000 residents that encompasses 87^th Terrace to 96^th Street, between the City of Miami Beach to the south and Bal Harbour to the north. Surfside also offers a waterfront Community Center that opened in 2011 and offers a recreational swimming pool with lap lanes, plunge pool, waterslide, kid’s pool, outdoor Jacuzzi, 2 multi-purpose rooms, locker room facilities, green space and an on-site snack bar and grill.

Entertainment and Dining in Surfside

Surfside offers a picturesque 2-block-long business district that offers everything you need; boutique shops, specialty services, Publix grocery store and a variety of restaurants including kosher cafes such as The Carrot, casual seafood restaurants like Flanigan’s Seafood Bar and Grill and delicious Mediterranean/Italian restaurants such as Café Ragazzi.

Surfside is also home to the highly-sought-after historic condo-hotel, The Surf Club Four Seasons Residences. This popular condo-hotel was completely renovated in 2017, but still holds the cache that it has had since it originally opened on New Year’s Eve in 1930. This historic building, which was originally called “The Surf Club,” was one of the most famous gathering places in South Florida and was regularly frequented by such celebrities as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Elizabeth Taylor, Ava Gardner and Winston Churchill, just to name a few. Today, this oceanfront condo-hotel remains an upscale gathering place offering Michelin-Starred Thomas Keller’s sophisticated The Surf Club Restaurant, Winston’s on the Beach al fresco dining and a champagne bar.
